4/7/07 - Met 2nd teacher

Starting to feel guilty if we don't make a daily entry to keep everyone up to speed. Spent time today with Irina. Went for a walk through the woods across from the orphanage. We met her 2nd mama, Lubov ( another teacher). Her 1st mama is Tatiana (her main teacher). We are glad she is so close to them and they to her and the others as it keeps them from being absent of any love. Irina always lights up when we see her and gives us both hugs and kisses upon arrival and departure. Unexpectedly, Lubov made some tea and cut an Easter bun and invited us to sit with her. We always find out more each time we visit and also about some of the others. We have come to find that quite a few Italians come to this orphanage to adopt. We are going to take pictures & try to identify some of Irina's friends and see if the orphanage will tell us if they are registered (available for adoption). It would be great to find others interested in giving them a new home, family and life. You just want to reach out and scoop up a bunch of them and take them home. The kids here are just great. The kids at this particular orphanage seem to be getting very good treatment, however, their past have left some big psychological scares.

Good to see she is adjusting to you both. Those were awesome pictures. I'm glad to see her orphanage isn't as bad as some of the ones I've seen online. Keep up the posting. Lee, Lisa and I like to be updated and we love seeing her pictures. What a difference in the first set you took of her to this last one. Love you! Jodi

Debbie and Dale - I loved seeing your pictures and cried as I read your updates. What an uplifting story! Irina seems wonderful. And what a lucky girl she will be. She has no idea. We're thinking about you and hoping that things will go as smoothy as possible. You are in our prayers.

Love,
Ann Koller

Great pictures! Irina is the prettiest of the bunch. Her countenance is very happy. Probably because she now knows she will have a wonderful mama and papa to care about her and lover her forever. The orphanage workers seem to be very nice as well. What a blessing.
Love you guys,
Laura and Rob

Easter blessings upon you all! We are glad that you are able to talk to people and learn more about your daughter's history. It's good to do that now -- it helps in having a good understanding of all that she may have been through.
Your updates are great, and that was a very nice photo of you guys walking in the woods. Tell Irina she has "manawga drooz-yeh" waiting for her! (many friends!)

Thanks for the updates. We check your site every time we get online. Thanks for all the pictures too. We know it takes a long time to upload so thanks for hanging in there.

Sounds like Ira is a sweetie and has had some real love from her teachers. We can't wait to meet her.

We'll keep the prayers going.
